QUALITY POLICY

We conduct our business activities in accordance with international quality management standards, focusing on value creation, and continuously measure and improve guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and service quality.

By increasing our tourism investments, we raise our international brand value and contribute to the national economy. In our new investments, we consider guest expectations, closely follow technology, and develop our corporate culture with a focus on social benefit and value creation.

Through effective training activities, we instill our corporate culture in all employees, enhancing teamwork and employee engagement in company management.

For the health and well-being of our guests and employees, we offer reliable food from a physical, chemical, and microbiological perspective. We comply with national and international laws, regulations, and secondary legislation regarding raw material procurement, storage, preparation, and presentation. We continuously improve the food safety management system standards we apply.

To ensure sustainability in the tourism sector and protect the environment, we identify our environmental impacts, control negative effects, potential hazards, and waste. We make efforts to minimize the use of natural resources, energy consumption, and air, water, and soil pollution.

We comply with national and international laws, regulations, and standards related to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and human rights, and fully meet all requirements. We take and implement necessary measures to protect our guests and employees from possible injuries and diseases, and to improve working conditions.

While carrying out our activities, we fulfill our social responsibilities and respect the rights and expectations of our guests, employees, suppliers, and contractors.

Sustainability Policy

Ramada Plaza Hotel Konya commits to respecting all internationally recognized human rights and ensures compliance with all relevant laws and agreements in this regard. Accordingly, we treat all our guests, business partners, and employees equally, without discrimination based on religion, language, race, color, gender, opinion, age, social and marital status, family background, or physical or mental disabilities.

We provide equal educational opportunities for all our employees. We closely follow legal obligations regarding the health, safety, and working hours of our staff and business partners, implement them, regularly inspect, and verify compliance.

With a focus on energy efficiency, we track our energy and water consumption data. We raise awareness among our employees about energy saving and take actions to ensure continuous improvement in energy efficiency.

To protect environmental health, we manage our waste in line with recycling principles, ensuring it does not pollute nature.

We take care to protect the local plant and animal species in our region and facilities.

To contribute to the local economy, we source the majority of our supplies from local producers. For sustainable tourism, we purchase energy-efficient, water-saving, and environmentally friendly products and services.

Sustainable Procurement Policy

In line with our sustainable procurement approach, we ensure that our suppliers/partners:

  • Have Quality Assurance Management Systems, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and internationally recognized environmental and sustainability certifications/labels.
  • Do not have harmful environmental impacts in their production and supply processes and comply with environmental regulations.
  • Use resources in an environmentally friendly manner without damaging natural life or ecosystems, and comply with fishing bans.
  • Work to minimize and properly manage their waste and offer less packaging or bulk packaging alternatives in product packaging.
  • Offer environmentally friendly, efficient, local, ethical, recyclable or recycled materials, organic, bio, vegan, cruelty-free, and free of harmful chemicals, among others.
  • Are local and regional producers/service providers.
  • Offer products/services that reflect or promote our country’s/region's cuisine, traditions, and culture.

We value this perspective and communicate it to our stakeholders and suppliers. Together with our suppliers, we create efficient purchasing opportunities and aim to reduce the environmental impact of procurement processes.


Environmental Protection and Waste Management Policy

We protect the environment in our operations, prevent pollution, and give importance to reducing our negative environmental impacts.

For this purpose:

  • We comply with legal regulations and work to reduce our environmental impact.
  • We make sure to effectively separate our waste by its source, groups, and hazard classes.
  • We know that using hazardous substances and chemicals only when necessary and in required amounts will reduce both their negative environmental effects and the amount of waste.
  • We contribute to environmental protection by choosing materials with “recycling” and “eco-friendly” labels in the goods we purchase for our operations. We also aim to create opportunities for reuse.
  • We strive to use disposable materials such as paper, napkins, toilet paper, and packaging materials as needed to minimize waste.
  • We store waste properly according to its characteristics and deliver it to licensed/authorized firms within legal storage deadlines, maintaining the necessary records.
  • We try to use water, energy, and all natural resources efficiently. We share this awareness with our employees, guests, and suppliers.
  • We measure our environmental management performance, track these data with goals, and work to improve our performance.
  • We aim to educate our employees and increase their environmental sensitivity.

Energy Efficiency Policy

To protect our world from potential dangers, we use our energy efficiently and set goals to reduce our energy consumption.

For this purpose:

  • We follow national and international standards, laws, and regulations to fulfill both our environmental responsibilities and legal obligations. We voluntarily carry out activities to reduce energy usage and/or continuously improve our energy consumption performance, and monitor the results of these actions.
  • We set targets and include energy efficiency in our training programs to engage our employees.
  • We value collaboration with all stakeholders to create shared goals and results in energy management. We maintain our interaction with our guests, employees, visitors, and business partners to raise collective awareness and consciousness in this regard.
  • We research, purchase, and use energy-efficient products, equipment, technology, and alternatives.
  • We aim to document, implement, update, review, and continuously improve our Energy Management System across all departments.
  • We evaluate energy risks or potential emergencies such as energy constraints and plan preventive actions.

Child Protection Policy

We take the necessary measures to respect children’s rights and protect children from exploitation (including sexual exploitation) and other forms of abuse.

We support programs that prevent children from becoming vulnerable and in need of care and protection.

We assist institutions and organizations that help children who have been involved in criminal activities or have been victims of crime to reintegrate them into society.

We collaborate with all stakeholders serving children.

We organize activities to raise social awareness and sensitivity to prevent violence against children.

We provide training to our staff on child protection.

We support any child protection initiatives and activities in our environment.

We ensure that all suspicious activities related to children are reported to local authorities and relevant organizations.

We do not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination, oppression, coercion, or defamation against women. We are always aware of the value they bring to the world and our institution and support their presence.


Protection of Vulnerable Groups, Prevention of Sexual Abuse, Harassment, and Exploitation Policy

Disabled individuals, children, and people over 70 years of age are identified as groups that require more understanding and assistance from other individuals working or staying at the hotel. We work to prevent any physical or psychological abuse and exploitation.

We integrate standards and procedures for sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment into orientation and training programs.

We provide orientation to employees as soon as possible, ideally within the month following the start of their employment contracts, on this subject.

Under applicable laws, we conduct background checks and criminal record checks to prevent the re-hiring or assignment of individuals involved in sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.

We evaluate allegations and complaints of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment based on reports, and take appropriate actions in an impartial and protective manner.

We follow the processes defined in feedback and complaint mechanisms.


Disabled Guest Facilities

Our facilities offer rooms suitable for the use of disabled guests.

Wheelchairs are available for use when needed.
